We're expanding our team and looking for a skilled and motivated Concreter to join us.
The Role
This isn't a slab gang. GreenSideUp Landscapes is looking for a Concreter who has mastered the craft of formed and decorative concrete — and who wants to apply that expertise on the kinds of outdoor builds most concreters only get to look at from the street.
Formed and finished concrete is increasingly central to what sets a GreenSideUp project apart. You'll be the specialist behind the concrete benches, seats, feature stairs, formed walls, garden borders and bespoke in-situ elements that become the signature details of our most impressive builds. Exposed aggregate paths, honed and polished surfaces, and precision formwork are all part of the picture — but the ability to produce beautiful, structurally sound formed pieces is the real priority. Outside of your concrete specialty, you'll be an active part of the broader construction crew, contributing to large-scale hard and softscape projects from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, form and pour bespoke concrete elements — benches, seats, steps, garden borders, feature stairs, in-situ edges and architectural concrete details
- Deliver high-quality decorative finishes including exposed aggregate, honed, brushed, polished and formed surfaces
- Execute formwork setup, stripping and surface preparation to an exceptional standard
- Apply and finish cement render to concrete and masonry surfaces where required
- Contribute actively to large-scale hard and softscape landscape construction projects as part of the broader crew
- Work closely with Foreman and the team to meet project timelines and quality benchmarks
- Comply with all WHS requirements and site safety procedures at all times
About You
You take pride in what you make. You know a good finish from a great one - and you know the difference between formed concrete done properly and formed concrete done quickly. You're happy doing the whole job - your specialty and everything else - and you want to work somewhere that puts your skills on full display.
Essential Requirements
- Demonstrated expertise in formed concrete elements: benches, seats, steps, borders and bespoke in-situ pieces
- Ability to produce high-quality decorative finishes: exposed aggregate, honed, brushed and polished surfaces
- Proficient in formwork construction and in-situ concrete installation
- Strong attention to detail and quality of finish
- Reliable, collaborative and team-oriented
- White Card
- Current driver's licence and work-appropriate vehicle
- Australian work rights required
Highly Regarded
- Formal concreting qualification (Cert III or equivalent)
- Experience on luxury residential or landscaping projects
- Rendering or masonry experience
- Ability to read and work from construction drawings
